MIAMI -- "A powerful third party endorsement" is what Strategic Shaft Technologies, L.C. officials are calling a "From the Golf Digest Labs" report that appeared in the latest issue of Golf Digest (August, page 25).

Golf Digest reported on the results of tests performed by Dr. P.C. Chou, of the Drexel University Ballistics Research Center, which revealed that a player loses about six yards for every two-tenths of an inch they stray from off-center in any direction and with virtually any swing speed.

Previously, in independent tests conducted by Golf Science Consultants, Inc., Strategic Shaft Technologies' SST PURE™ shaft alignment process was shown to improve impact repeatability by as much as 51 percent. SST has developed a process of shaft analysis and golf club assembly that increases the percentage of on-center hits for golfers of all skill levels.

In February 2000, SST founder Dick Weiss and noted golf shaft expert Howard Butler made a two-hour presentation before the Golf Digest Equipment Panel during the Orlando PGA Merchandise Show.

"We shared our impact repeatability findings and demonstrated the benefits of our patent protected processes to the Equipment Panel and the many equipment manufacturers who sit on that prestigious panel," Weiss said.

PGA Tour players are getting behind the process and numerous players have called SST PURE™ the greatest technological breakthrough to hit golf in over 20 years. Through seven events on the 2000 PGA Tour, the SST PURE™ Tour Van has performed shaft alignment work for more than 40 players, including the winners of multiple events.
