SST licenses its Tour-proven SST PURE™ technology and equipment to original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) as well as select clubmakers. Licensed OEM's install PUREd shafts in their newly manufactured equipment, while clubmaker licensees "retrofit" existing sets of clubs in the consumer aftermarket.

Golfsmith, Inc. was the first-ever SST PURE™ licensee and the Austin, Texas, retailing giant holds a hybrid license which allows it to perform retrofitting services in addition to offering PUREd shafts as an option in every new club it sells as well as every new shaft sold through its catalog, superstores, and over the internet.

"We long ago determined there to be two separate and distinct markets for our patented SST PURE™ golf shaft alignment process," said Dick Weiss, SST's founder and CEO. "The PUREing process has enormous application for any OEM wanting to provide the absolute best in golf club performance to its customers who purchase new equipment. Equally significant however, is the aftermarket opportunity where qualified, SST licensed clubmakers can retrofit a consumer's existing set of clubs."

SST company officials say it is mandatory that clubmakers licensed to perform the SST PURE™ retrofitting process possess a high degree of clubmaking expertise and that they are full-time clubmakers with regular hours and a retail storefront location. Philip Talamonti, SST's President states, "Our first three clubmaker licensees are all certified members of the Professional Clubmakers Society and are among the very best in their field. Their level of experience and reputation in each respective geography was key to their selection as SST PURE™ clubmaker licensees. We are actively involved in discussions with other clubmakers of their same caliber as we move to establish Officially Licensed Retrofitting Centers across the U.S. and abroad."

SST plans to add 12 additional clubmaker licensees in the next 60 days in various geographies.
