SST PURE™ licensee named "International Clubmaker of the Year" by the Professional Clubmakers' Society March 6, 2001 MIAMI -- Strategic Shaft Technologies (SST), L.C., patent holder of the revolutionary shaft alignment and club assembly process known as SST PURE™, is pleased to congratulate SST licensee Gene Sprayberry of Columbia, S.C., who was honored Saturday night with the Professional Clubmakers' Society's (PCS) highest honor: the 2001 International Clubmaker of the Year Award. "Gene has worked very hard with golfers of all levels of skill and is well deserving of this great honor," cheered Dick Weiss, Founder and Managing Member of SST. The award is given annually by the PCS to one of six regional finalists chosen from more than 1,400 clubmaker members from around the world. The award honoree is then chosen by a board comprised of past recipients. In 1996, Gene was honored with the Golf Clubmakers Association's (GCA) highest award of Clubmaker of the Year. Sprayberry is the only active PGA member to be honored with both associations' highest awards, and only the second clubmaker to ever receive both awards. "Gene is the type of clubmaker like all our SST licensees who constantly proves to the playing public that quality clubmakers do exist and SST is proud to have them representing our process of club assembly," added Weiss.
