SST adds new licensee in Nashville, Tenn. March 12, 2001 MIAMI -- Golfers in Nashville, Tenn., will soon have access to the exciting SST PURE™ shaft alignment process, it was announced Monday. Strategic Shaft Technologies, L.C. (SST) confirmed it has entered into a licensing agreement with Lou Ullrich, his partner Gary Stickl and their company, L&G Custom Golf in Nashville, Tenn. "It is very exciting for SST and me to be associated with Lou and Gary,” said Dick Weiss, SST Founder and Managing Member. “Lou has been very supportive of SST’s process since the day I met him in 1997. We’re only considering top-of-the-line Class A clubmakers for licensing. That’s what makes Lou and his partner a perfect fit for us to add to our growing list of the finest clubmakers in the world using our SST PURE™ shaft alignment process." Lou Ulrich graduated from UCLA and worked as a manufacturing engineer in the aerospace industry for 26 years. He has been making clubs for 16 years and it has been his full-time professional for 11 years. He holds three Class A certifications from the Professional Clubmakers’ Society (PCS): Clubmaker, Clubfitter and Club Repairer. He is Vice President on the PCS’s Board, Chairman of its Educational Training Commission and was the recipient of the Golf Clubmakers’ Association 1999-2000 Southern Regional Clubmaker of the Year award. After being named to the All Big-Ten golf team at Indiana, Gary Stickl played the Nike Tour for two years and is an accomplished clubmaker. “Ever since I first met Dick Weiss and learned about his SST process, I knew from my engineering background that he had developed a refined process of club assembly and I wanted to be associated,” Ulrich said. “I’d liken the SST PURE™ process to the 21st century light bulb versus the candle.” SST is actively negotiating with other quality professional custom clubmakers as it moves to establish "SST Officially Licensed Retrofitting Centers" across the United States and internationally.
