SST PUREŽ shaft alignment comes to NYC Metro area May 1, 2002 MIAMI -- The New York Metropolitan area is the latest region to gain access to the benefits of SST PUREŽ shaft alignment. Strategic Shaft Technologies, L.C. (SST) confirmed that the Complete Golfer of White Plains, N.Y., and Westchester Country Club is the latest custom clubfitter to join the SST PUREŽ network and the first in the state of New York. SST PUREŽ alignment neutralizes the adverse effects of inconsistencies that exist in every shaft to provide optimum consistency and performance. For more than 20 years, The Complete Golfer, owned and operated by John Ioris, has been the source for custom golf repair and club fitting in metropolitan New York and the surrounding areas, including parts of Connecticut. The company performs wholesale repair work for 35 private country clubs and retail outlets and has a seasonal repair facility on the driving range of Westchester Country Club to better serve the members of that historic club and annual host of the PGA TOUR. Weiss and Ioris addressed members of the Metropolitan PGA in a two-hour presentation last week to better educate them to the SST PUREŽ process of shaft alignment and assembly. Since no shaft is perfectly round or straight, irregularities in each shaft affect performance and are the reason seemingly identical clubs perform differently. Despite modern manufacturing techniques, every golf shaft remains individually unique and cannot be fully analyzed until after the shaft has been manufactured. Using patented state-of-the art computer analysis equipment, SST PUREŽ identifies the most stable orientation of each and every shaft for optimum performance and impact repeatability. The process can be performed on any shaft, steel or graphite.
