SST PUREŽ helps Meunier-Lebouc to first LPGA victory Sept. 3, 2002 SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- For Patricia Meunier-Lebouc, claiming her first victory on the LPGA Tour was as simple as SST PUREŽ. Meunier-Lebouc had her club's SST PUREŽ aligned Tuesday at the site of the State Farm Classic and then put together a four-round total of 18-under par to end up in the winner's circle on Sunday afternoon. Meunier-Lebouc's two-stroke victory was kickstarted on Thursday with a career low opening round of 8-under par 64. She was one shot out of the lead held by Becky Morgan, who with SST PUREŽ aligned shafts also in her clubs shot a career low round of 63. Prior to coming into the State Farm Classic, Meunier-Lebouc was hitting 62.5 percent of her greens in regulation. After having her shafts SST PUREŽ aligned, Meunier-Lebouc's G.I.R. percentage shot up to 81.9 percent. Her average driving distance increased from 246.5 yards to to 253.3, including an average distance of 270 yards over the final nine holes. The State Farm Classic capped off a two-week visit to the LPGA Tour by the SST PUREŽ Tour Van. After three years on the PGA TOUR -- during which time SST has PUREd shafts for more than 150 PGA TOUR players -- the SST PUREŽ Shaft Alignment Lab was on-site at the First Union Betsy King Classic and the State Farm Classic. For many LPGA players it was their first exposure to the SST PUREŽ process, and the response was fantastic. Dozens of players, including world No. 2 Karrie Webb and several members of the U.S. Solheim Cup team had their shafts SST PUREŽ aligned. SST's Shaft Alignment Lab will return to the PGA TOUR this month at the Tampa Bay Classic. Future dates on the LPGA Tour will be scheduled when time permits.
