MIAMI — Bringing a new level of custom clubmaking to the Twin Cities, Strategic Shaft Technologies announces the addition of Golf Etc. of Apple Valley, Minn., as its newest licensee to offer SST PURE®, the leading shaft-alignment process on the PGA TOUR. The addition of Golf Etc. of Apple Valley brings the patented PURE process to thousands of golfers playing at more than 80 golf courses in the Minneapolis-St. Paul community.

In addition to the SST PURE technology, Golf Etc. of Apple Valley features a hitting area equipped with Vector Launch Monitor, True Temper Shaft Lab and Distance Caddy — all of which aid in the complete analysis of clubfitting data such as ball speed, launch angle and backspin data. With nearly 20 years of combined clubmaking and custom-fitting experience, Howard and Luedke hold memberships and training certificates from professional organizations such as the Professional Clubmakers Society and Golf Clubmakers Association, and they have been among the Top 50 Fitters for Mizuno for three years. To date, more than 180 PGA TOUR players have embraced SST PURE shaft alignment technology. Using proprietary computer software and sensitive data-acquisition sensors, the SST PURE shaft alignment process analyzes the structural irregularities that exist to some degree in every golf shaft and locates the shaft’s most stable orientation. By assembling the club with the shaft in its PURE orientation, off-line bending and twisting of the shaft are minimized and impact repeatability on the center of the clubface by the golfer improves up to 51 percent. The process can be performed on existing clubs, new clubs or new shafts — steel or graphite — from most major manufacturers.
