MIAMI -- The SST PURE Shaft Alignment network continues to grow at a record pace with the addition of the two Palm Beach Golf Center locations in South Florida.

Both the 25,000-square-foot Palm Beach Golf Center megastore in Palm Beach Gardens and the 15,000-square-foot store in Boca Raton now have SST PURE Shaft Alignment systems, allowing them to offer their customers the optimum in shaft performance.

Using proprietary computer software and sensitive data-acquisition sensors, the SST PURE shaft alignment process analyzes the structural irregularities that exist in every golf shaft and locates the shaft's most stable orientation. By assembling the club with the shaft in its PURE orientation, off-line bending and twisting of the shaft are minimized and impact repeatability on the center of the clubface by the golfer improves up to 51 percent.

“Custom fitting is a booming area of the equipment industry,” Palm Beach Golf Center owner Larry Sugarman said. “We looked into it and determined that SST PURE Shaft Alignment is a required step in building high-performing golf clubs.”

There has been a rush of new SST PURE licensees in recent months, and Palm Beach Golf Center and its staff of quality clubmakers is the latest in the growing trend of large-scale retailers joining the SST PURE licensee network.

The patented SST PURE process of club assembly - deemed in compliance with USGA standards - locates each shaft's irregularities and aligns the shaft to neutralize them, so that each club bends in the direction it should - straight down the target line. The process can be performed on existing clubs, new clubs or new shafts - steel or graphite - from most major manufacturers. To date, more than 200 players on the PGA Tour have experienced the benefit of SST PURE Shaft Alignment. Upon having his shafts SST PURE aligned, a player receives a personalized computer printout confirming the process and an SST PURE shaft label for every shaft that has been PUREd.
